Basic
Recommendations for a Safe and Protected Shipment
1. - Use
good quality packaging materials, preferably BOXES.
Make sure these are not broken, perforate and/or bent.
Check the conditions of the corners. Likewise the top
and bottom which should be sturdy enough to protect the
merchandise to be transported and weight should never
surpass 150 Kg.
2. - Identify
the type of merchandise to be transported If it is
fragile, contains glass, liquids, live animals (fish),
which side up, not to tilt, etc. Our Cargo Agents will
provide you with any necessary labels.
3. - Distribute
merchandise uniformly and proportionally to its size and
amount to avoid movements inside which could cause
breakage.
4.- Under no
circumstances include merchandise which we do not
transport. Client friend, you are under the obligation
to declare Dangerous Merchandise, as for example the
ones we mention as follows:
-. Flammable materials or substances.
-. Corrosive liquids and/or substances.
-. Compressed and/or liquid oxygen tanks.
-. Solid carbon dioxide (dry ice), in large quantities.
-. Diagnostic samples.
-. Humid or lithium batteries.
-. Barometers, manometers, thermometers or any other
implement containing mercury.
-. Magnets.
-. Weapons and/or explosives.
Because of the company’s policy and for the safety of
our passengers, Aeropostal does NOT transport
DANGEROUS MERCHANDISE..
5. - For more
safety
Use internal protectors
and adhesive material or resistant straps to seal your
boxes.
IMPORTANT: For the carriage of bulky or large
merchandise there are limitations regarding dimensions.
Please consult our Cargo Agent, this person should be
able to inform and help you.
